Wednesday Group will be hosting a softball game at Ryder Park. BBQ and activities to raise money to sponsor a Dog Kennel at CNHS. The sponsorships provides safe shelter, good food and the opportunity to find a forever home.

Bark Avenue will be featuring new items at a State Fair booth.

Rescues to Runaways

Saturday, Sept 11
"Rescues to Runaways" at the Conestoga Mall, 1:30 Fashion show featuring the latest trends from Maurice's. Angus will be attending with his Adopt-A-Pet friends from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. there will a silent auction items. Donations from our wish list will be accepted all month at Grand Island store.

Donations are Always Needed
SIDEWALK PROJECT
We have had many requests for additional area to walk a hound. Our plans are to build a sidewalk around the entire property of the Central Nebraska Humane Society. We are asking for your help in building this sidewalk to benefit our pets and our volunteers walking them. Please contact the Central Nebraska Humane Society with your greatly appreciated donations.

Supply Needs:

Laundry supplies; bleach, laundry detergent, liquid soap
Paper towels
Clear plastic totes
Trash bags; sizes 13 gal, 33gal, 55 gal.
Cash contributions are always appreciated to purchase shelter specific needs!
Ziploc Bags; sandwich size and 1 qt. size
AA, 9volt and AAA Batteries
Video camera (used for taping behavior assessments and Animal Control Officers for use in abuse, neglect or cruelty cases)
Canned sausages (Vienna type sausages)for administering medications.
Gift cards from hardware or feed stores
Small CD players(to play calming music for the animals)
Tools (socket set Standard or Metric, screw drivers, pliers, hammers, drill and drill bits.)
Garden hoses 50' and 100 foot' rubber
Small stuffed toys(to be given to juvenile victims of animal related trauma)ie: bites,attacks.

Cat/Kitten Needs:

KMR Kitten Milk Replacer
Canned cat and kitten food
Dry kitten food(Purina Kitten Chow-PLEASE)
Clumping litter
Heating pads (for our new litters who need some warmth)
Kitty pooper scoopers
Sponsor a Cat Kennel: $250.00/year

Dog/Puppy Needs:

Esbilac Puppy Milk Replacer
Dog and Puppy treats
Dog and Puppy toys
Canned sausages (Vienna type sausages)for administering medications.
Sponsor a Dog Kennel: $500.00/year

Critter Corner Needs:

Pine Bedding
Food for all of our small pocket pets

We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facility because they are so good for our dogs. We have met our goal to equip all of our kennels. Our Animals and Staff would like to thank everyone involved in donating beds to our facility.
