New car sign welcomes all to the
Central Nebraska Humane Society
Thanks to the wonderful talents and generous donation of local business owner, Fred Schritt, the Central Nebraska Humane Society has a new "sign". The car sculpture, created by Mr. Schritt, depicts Snoopy driving the car while waiving to those entering the parking lot, and Garfield in the passenger seat giving a thumbs-up toward the exercise area. The license plate reads "Buddy", named after Mr. Schritt's dog that passed away in 2012. The name also represents the "buddy" potential adopters hope to find when visiting the adoption center to look for
a new dog or cat.
A Note from Our Executive Director Welcome to our inaugural newsletter!
Our goal is to tell you each month about not only our great animals, but also about our indispensable volunteers, staff, board members and the adopters who offer our animals the forever homes they so need and deserve. We’ll also let you know about upcoming events and fundraisers and how you can get involved at the shelter and adoption center. We hope you enjoy learning a little more about us and we hope you stop out and see us soon!
